A healthy body is more likely to produce healthy hair. Drink plenty of water, and eat a healthy and balanced diet in order to maintain great hair. A proper diet requires the right amount of fruits and veggies, whole grains and other healthy substances. Eat well and your hair will thank you for your efforts.
Place your ponytail in a slightly different spot each time you wear a ponytail style. Regardless of the hair tie you use, repeated stress will always result in breakages. If you need to tie your hair when working, give your hair breaks by untying it during non-working hours.
Never brush your hair when it is wet as it can cause damage that is hard to repair. Wet hair breaks easily, and brushing it can cause split ends. To reduce this damage, brush your hair while it is dry, either before your shower or after it drys again.
Poor nutrition may be causing your hair to appear flat or dull. In order to keep your hair healthy, you need to consume enough vitamin E, iron, Omega-3 fatty acids and other important nutrients. If you like the way your hair looks after swimming in the ocean, there are products that mimic the salty ocean effects. Choose styling products that contain phrases like “salt spray” or “ocean water”. Try putting together a teaspoon of salt and one cup of water for your own mixture. Next, put in lavender oil (roughly ten drops of it), and you have created a bottle of ocean happiness.
Never pull at your hair or rub it with a towel when you’re drying it. This can cause frizz and stretches your hair, causing breakage. Instead of this, you should gently squeeze, blot or pat any additional moisture off your hair, or you could loosely wrap it into a towel. You should also avoid brushing or combing it while it’s wet, unless you use a wide-toothed comb.
Blow Dryer
Avoid using a blow dryer. Hot air from a blow dryer can really damage your hair, so try to let it dry naturally whenever possible. If you have blow dry your hair, maintain a cool setting, and avoid putting it on the same spot for too long. To quickly dry your hair, towel dry it before you use a blow dryer.
Look for hair care products that consist mainly of all-natural ingredients. Additionally, find shampoos and conditioners that are formulated for your specific hair type, such as fine, limp, oily or dry. Try out different products until you’re happy with one.
Hair products with alcohol will dry out hair. This is not good for your hair’s health at all. Learn to read and understand labels, and choose products with ingredients that benefit your hair.
